If you love sustainable solutions, you will really love these images.  So cleaver and fun...
Bicycle to a Bathroom Sink. http://www.woohome.com/
Wouldn't this bicycle vanity be great in a little cottage!

Vespa to a Rolling Chair. http://www.belybel.com/

I have a friend who's husband would love to convert her Vespa into something safe like a chair!  Right Caroline?

Fashionable Design: The Common Link

The link between fashion and interior design has always been strong.  We thought it would be fun to explore this idea even further.  Whether preppy and energetic or chic and elegant we love the translations from runway to interiors captured below.

This bold book-matched marble wall is a statement without need of embellishment!

Sassy and bold with a preppy edge!  Classic navy and white will work with any pop of color...try it yourself!

Isn't it interesting how a splash of bold color adds new life and a bit of  youthfulness to just about anything.

I love this room, it has been a favorite of mine for some time now.  The fashion equivalent is also a confident statement of bravado!

Soft and feminine with classic details.
http://www.elementsofstyleblog.com
This fashion statement, much like the room, has a feminine softness without being too prissy.

Sleek, modern and classic...I love black and white.  The simple detailing really sets this space and this gown apart from the ordinary.

What elements define your style?

We Find What We Look For

"Find the good. It's all around you. Find it, showcase it and you'll start believing in it."

-Jesse Owens

I am intrigued by the notion that we find what we seek.  If we believe that bad things always seem to happen, we tend to find bad things everywhere we look.  With that in mind, why not look for the good?  It makes sense to me.  May you have good fortune today and may it follow you throughout your week!

Naturally Rustic Retail and Hospitality Design

Natural finishes and simple fixtures give character to these fabulous Retail and Hospitality spaces.  I love all the great textures natural products bring to an environment.  Sometimes that is all you need to make a place memorable.  Take a look at the different ways wood is used in these these interiors.

The wood in this mens shop give such a feeling of warmth and simple sophistication.  What a great backdrop to the fine clothing and accessories.

The sleek modern edge of this restaurant needed the warmth of the wood tables and chairs to balance it's cool demeanor.  Love the rustic twig ceiling element!

Emerald green, color of the year

Emerald provides a touch of BOLD and VIBRANT. It is capable of transforming a boring space in/to a vivacious and rich atmosphere wether it is added in small amounts such as a pillow or completely masking an entire wall.

The emerald accented drapery against the charcoal gray wall implements an elegant design while allowing an easy transition into a new style.

So sophisticated and sharp and so simple.  Take away the color on the wall and this space would lose the drama.  Don't be afraid to go bold!
